Course Descriptions:
AT13U: Kids Race 5 - 13 years old
100 yard Swim/ 400 yard Run
-All registrants must be able to swim without flotation device assistance-
AT5K:
1K Swim: A triangular, 1K course in the Monterey Bay. Waves of 100 will start every 5 minutes beginning at 9:00am. Athletes will be assigned a start time determined by age group and gender. Start times will be posted at packet pick-up.
Transition Area: A secured transition area, open only to
participants, will be located a 100 yards from the swim exit. Athletes will be assigned specific transition spots corresponding to their race number.
4K Run: The run is an out and back course along the Monterey bay Coastal Trail. A trun-around marker and race monitor will be posted at the 2k turn-around point.
AT10K:
2K Swim: A triangular, 1K course in the Monterey Bay. Athletes must complete this course two times exiting the water betwen loops.Waves of 100 will start every 5 minutes beginning at 9:00am. Athletes will be assigned a start time determined by age group and gender. Start times will be posted at packet pick-up
Transition Area: A secured transition area, open only to
participants, will be located a 100 yards from the swim exit. Athletes will be assigned specific transition spots corresponding to their race number.
8K Run: The run is an out and back course along the Monterey Bay Coastal Trail. A trun-around marker and race monitor will be posted at the 4k turn-around point.
Post Race Food: Orange juice and bagels will be served following the event.
Awards Ceremony: 10:00am in the registration area
